Bartaman Ramadan ("we", "our", or "the app") is a free mobile application that helps friends exchange prayers (duas) during Ramadan. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide

• Display Name: The name you enter when creating a jar or adding your name to a friend's jar.
• Gender: Selected to personalize the duas generated for you (male/female).
• Dua Requests: Optional free-text prayer requests you may provide.
• Personal Jar Intentions: Goals or intentions you select for your personal dua jar.

b) Automatically Collected Information

• Device Identifiers: Anonymous advertising identifiers used for displaying ads (subject to your consent via App Tracking Transparency on iOS).
• Location Data: Approximate location is used only to display prayer times (Mawaqeet). Location is requested only when you open the Prayer Times tab and is not stored on our servers.
• Push Notification Token: If you opt in to notifications, we store a device token to send you daily Ramadan reminders.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate personalized duas based on your name, gender, and requests.
• To display prayer times based on your location.
• To send you daily Ramadan reminders (with your permission).
• To display ads through Google AdMob.

3. Data Storage

• Jar Data: Names and jar codes are stored on Firebase Realtime Database to enable sharing between friends.
• Personal Data: Your personal jar intentions and generated duas are stored locally on your device only.
• Draw History: Which names you have drawn is stored locally on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): For database, cloud functions, and push notifications. Firebase Privacy Policy

• Google Gemini API: For generating personalized duas. The text prompts sent contain your name, gender, and dua requests. Gemini API Terms

5. Advertising

We display ads through Google AdMob to support the app. On iOS, we request your consent via App Tracking Transparency (ATT) before any tracking-based advertising. You can change your tracking preferences at any time in your device's Settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

• Jar data is stored on Firebase for the duration of the Ramadan season and may be deleted afterward.
• Local data (draw history, personal duas) can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.
• You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Opt out of push notifications at any time via device settings.
• Deny or revoke location access at any time via device settings.
• Opt out of ad tracking (ATT on iOS, Ad Settings on Android).
• Request deletion of your data by contacting us.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase security rules and HTTPS encryption to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
